A cookie is a small text file stored on a user’s computer, tablet, or phone. Cookies contain a unique and anonymous identification number that allows us to obtain information about the various browsers that visit our site. With the help of the tag we get an understanding of, for example, where the user has clicked on our pages, what possible keywords he has used, what subpages he has browsed on our pages, what functionalities he has clicked and from what kind of terminal and operating system our pages have been viewed.
Hygga collects information about the conduct on the site itself or through the service providers it uses. Our site uses Google Analytics, through which it is possible to analyze and visualize the usage history of the site. The cookies collected contain anonymous information about online traffic and thus visits are never associated with an individual. Google Analytics tracking can be blocked with Google Analytics’ own opt-out feature.
The information collected through cookies can be used to generate targeted advertising. Hygga or company’s service providers can use browser behavior to create different audiences to which they can target ad content that is likely to be of interest to them. Cookies for targeted advertising include Google Adwords, Adform, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
There is also possible to chat and provide feedback using the Zendesk tool in our website. More information about Zendesk’s privacy is available here.
It is possible to block cookies by disabling them or changing your browser settings so that the browser does not allow cookies to be stored. You can read more about disabling cookies on the help page of the user’s own web browser. After blocking the storage of cookies, it is possible that some of the functionalities on the Hygga website will not work normally.
You can clear your cookie history from your web browser settings. The current, valid cookie tag is deleted with the web behavior profile associated with the browser. However, new cookies may be stored in your browser despite clearing your history.
