New markets for Hygga Flow in Netherlands

The Hygga Flow model has been introduced at two private clinics in the Netherlands during spring 2020. During the summer and autumn, Hygga Flow will also be available at one new Dutch clinic and one Belgian clinic. Entering in Central Europe market has been Hygga’s strategic goal from the beginning and Hygga’s distribution agreement with Dutch Straight Dental has been successful.

“The started cooperation with Dutch clinics is a very significant opening for us. We are building a completely new market in Europe and we must now be ready to take big leaps in development in Finland as well,” explains Jussi Heiniö, CEO of Hygga.

Development of operations during COVID-19

The coronavirus epidemic has significantly affected dental health care providers. The epidemic has forced many clinics and dental clinics to cancel most non-emergency dental care times or even close clinics completely. However, this does not mean that the development of operations will be suspended. It has been great to see how projects can be taken forward even during exceptional times.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, the corona epidemic shut down all non-urgent treatments. Despite this, the implementation projects of the pilot clinics were taken forward all the way to production. Initialization of projects were carried out remotely, utilizing electronic tools for both communication and training. To support both our new and old customers, we also opened our own Help desk in Helsinki during the spring, whose task is to serve Hygga’s partners flexibly and as efficiently as possible.

Our project manager Eeva Saarelainen explains how international projects were launched and taken forward during the corona epidemic.

“We have been able to challenge our own practices in introducing projects and learn new ways of working during this exceptional period. Each project is unique, but our common will to develop healthcare practices is a driving force in every project,” says Eeva Saarelainen, Hygga’s project manager.

The development of the operating model in the Central European environment will continue with the pilot clinics also in the future. Together with the clinics, goals have been set for the new operating model and concrete indicators for the goals, which will be monitored during the projects. Through concrete indicators, it is easy to monitor the achievement of goals, and clear feedback is obtained for the development of operations.
